I’m going to answer a very simple question for you today. Are you ready for an assistant? I honestly believe this is one of the biggest, missed opportunities with sales people and business people in general to whom I speak.
Are you good at sales? If you answered “Yes” to that question, you are ready for an assistant. That’s it! Having an assistant will dramatically increase your ability to sell once you have an efficient system in place.
Why don’t more people in sales have an assistant?
For example, I have an assistant named Angela. Many of you have spoken to Angela before or emailed her. She has been my assistant for seven or eight years. When she first started, she was working about four or five hours a week. Angela had two main tasks.
I am giving you so many free tips! I gave a tip yesterday about your content marketing, (LINK) but I don’t know if anyone is actually going to do that. “Would it work?” Absolutely! Would it make tons of money for someone? Absolutely guaranteed! Is anybody actually going to do it? I would be surprised if anyone does, but I hope you do.
I’m talking about the same thing today. Some of you are going to watch this episode and think, “Oh, an assistant is a good idea.” Are you going to hire an assistant tomorrow? I would!
Do you have a family member or a stay-at-home relative who is looking for something to do from home? A college person may be able to work evenings? Let this assistant keep your schedule up-to-date and take care of any administrative tasks you can possibly delegate. Over time you are going to develop a great relationship with this person. With the help of an assistant you will see your productivity going to the next level!
