2 Reasons You Should Sell Merchant Services - CCSalesPro

In this first video in my new series on selling credit card processing, I discuss 2 reasons you should consider a sales career in the merchant services business.  Not only is there great commission and residual opportunities from selling merchant services but in this post / video, I really want to highlight the two key reasons that I see merchant services sales as a great opportunity, not only today, but moving forward.

#1 – Every business is a prospect.  For those of you who have experience selling for different companies in different industries you know that a big part of any sales job is finding the right prospects.  When you decide to sell merchant services, you can literally sell a small business of any kind.  In today’s market, just about everyone accepts credit card.  The way I started out in this industry was by finding a busy street in my market and walking into every business on that street!  Imagine selling something where you can walk into any business and find a qualified prospect?

#2 – We are poised for change.  Change is scary for many people, but I feel like the changes our industry is going through are tailor made for a sales rep that is willing to embrace those changes and adjust their marketing / sales style to take advantage of them.  It is crucial that you find the right partnerships to ensure you are staying ahead of the curve but, as long as you are willing to embrace these changes, you will find that your relationships with your small business clients are going to become more and more valuable over time as they look for a trusted advisor to help their business embrace the changes in the payments industry.
